Where Clipo Stores Your Results

Clipo normally saves your original and generated files in this browser, not in an account-based results library.

Local results guidance updated: July 14, 2026

Normal storage: IndexedDB

Clipo stores result records in the browser's IndexedDB database named clipo-results. A result URL contains its random local ID and asks this browser to load the matching record.

The URL is not a cloud share link and does not contain the image itself. It normally works only on the same Clipo origin and in the same browser profile where the record was saved.

Fallback storage: temporary page memory

If IndexedDB cannot be opened or written, Clipo keeps the result in page memory so you may still review and download it. Download the files before reloading, closing the tab, or navigating away.

The result page shows a blue warning when temporary memory is used. If that warning appears, download immediately.

When local results disappear

  • You delete the active result or choose to delete all saved results.
  • You clear Clipo's site data in browser settings, use storage-cleanup software, or the browser evicts site storage.
  • You open the URL in another browser, profile, device, or site origin.
  • The result used temporary memory and the page reloads, closes, or navigates away.

Browser-saved results do not automatically expire. Signing out does not delete them. Clearing cookies alone may leave IndexedDB intact, while clearing all site data removes it.

Download and deletion controls

  1. Download any Cutout PNG, Full-size PNG, and available Alpha mask you want to keep.
  2. Use Delete result to remove the active local record, or Delete all saved results to clear Clipo's result store in this browser.
  3. If deletion fails, clear this site's data in browser settings. That can also remove sign-in cookies and local preferences.

Local storage does not mean local processing

Images are sent through Clipo's web service for background processing before the returned files are stored in the browser. Review the Privacy Notice for the current data-flow and retention disclosures.
