Terms of Use

These terms describe the current rules and responsibilities for using Clipo's background-removal service.

Last updated: July 14, 2026

Using Clipo

Clipo provides a web-based tool that accepts supported images, removes backgrounds, and returns transparent PNG files and masks for review and download.

The current product allows one-image processing without sign-in. Google sign-in is required to process multiple images in one batch. File, batch, rate, and availability limits may be enforced to keep the service reliable and safe.

Your images and permissions

You remain responsible for the images you upload and the results you create. Only upload content you own or are authorized to process.

You give Clipo the limited permission needed to transmit, process, transform, and return the image for the requested service. The current removal path does not intentionally save uploaded image files on the server. Browser-local result storage is described in the Privacy Notice.

Acceptable use

Do not use Clipo to:

  • Process content you have no right or permission to use.
  • Violate another person's privacy, intellectual-property rights, publicity rights, or applicable law.
  • Create, distribute, or facilitate abusive, exploitative, fraudulent, or unlawful material.
  • Upload malware, hostile files, or content intended to damage or disrupt the service.
  • Bypass access controls, upload limits, rate limits, authentication, or security protections.
  • Probe, overload, automate against, or interfere with Clipo in a way that harms the service or other users.

Reviewing and using results

Background removal is automated and may produce incomplete or inaccurate edges. Review every output, reliability warning, mask, and download before publishing or relying on it.

Clipo does not verify identity, ownership, authenticity, consent, or the legality of an uploaded image. It is not intended to make medical, legal, financial, biometric, or other high-impact decisions.

Sign-in and access

Google sign-in is used only to unlock the current batch workflow. You are responsible for maintaining control of your Google account and browser session. Sign out when using a shared device.

Clipo may reject uploads, limit requests, suspend access, or remove access to protect users, comply with law, investigate abuse, or maintain service reliability.

Browser storage and deletion

Originals and generated results are stored in your browser so the result page can load them. You can delete one result, clear all saved results, or clear all Clipo site data through browser settings. Automatic result expiry is not enabled yet, so no automatic deletion period is promised.

Service availability and changes

Clipo is under active development. Features, file limits, access rules, supported formats, and availability may change. Processing can fail because of unsupported content, browser limitations, rate limits, network failures, maintenance, or third-party outages.

No uptime, processing-time, permanent-free-access, or universal output quality guarantee is currently offered.

Third-party services

Google provides the optional sign-in flow. Your use of Google services is also subject to Google's applicable terms and privacy practices. Hosting, networking, and operational providers may support the service as described in Clipo's privacy materials.

Clipo software and branding

These terms do not give you ownership of Clipo's software, interface, branding, documentation, or service technology. Your rights in uploaded content and generated results remain subject to the rights you already hold and any rights belonging to other people.

Changes to these terms

Clipo may update these terms as the service changes. The version shown on this page applies when you use the service, and material updates should be reflected here before they take effect.
